Terms of Business
These Terms of Business apply to all services provided by TLC Domestic Cleaning Ltd trading as TLC Window Cleaning (“TLC”, “we”, “our” or “us”). By requesting a quotation, booking a service or allowing us to carry out work, you agree to these Terms.
We provide professional residential and commercial exterior cleaning services, including but not limited to:
- Window cleaning
- Gutter cleaning and clearance
- Roof cleaning and moss removal
- Conservatory roof cleaning
- Pressure washing
- Patio and driveway cleaning
- Solar panel cleaning
- Fascia and soffit cleaning
- Exterior building cleaning
- Commercial exterior cleaning
The services to be carried out will be confirmed within your quotation or agreed scope of works.
Residential quotations may be provided using our online quotation form, photographs supplied by you, or information obtained through further correspondence with our office.
Commercial quotations may require additional information, a telephone consultation or a site visit before a final quotation can be provided.
Where inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information has been supplied, we reserve the right to amend a quotation before work commences.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations remain valid for 30 days.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that we have safe and reasonable access to the property on the agreed service date.
Where applicable, please ensure:
- Gates are unlocked
- Vehicles are moved where necessary
- Pets are secured
- External water and power supplies are available if required
- Any known hazards or access restrictions have been communicated to us in advance.
If we are unable to gain access to the property at the agreed appointment time, we reserve the right to reschedule the appointment and, where appropriate, apply a reasonable call-out charge.
If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice wherever possible.
Where insufficient notice is provided, we reserve the right to apply a reasonable cancellation charge.
Occasionally, we may need to rearrange appointments due to adverse weather, operational requirements or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to arrange an alternative appointment.
Some services cannot be carried out safely during adverse weather conditions.
Appointments may be postponed due to:
- High winds
- Heavy rain
- Lightning
- Ice or snow
- Unsafe roof conditions
- Any other circumstances that could compromise safety or the quality of our work
If this occurs, we will contact you to rearrange your appointment as soon as reasonably possible.
Residential payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed.
Commercial invoices are payable in accordance with the payment terms stated on the quotation or invoice.
For certain services, particularly larger residential or commercial projects, we may require a deposit before work commences. Where applicable, this will be clearly stated within your quotation.
Payment can be made by Direct Debit (where applicable), bank transfer, cash or any other payment method specified on your invoice.
All prices are subject to VAT where applicable.
Exterior cleaning may reveal defects that were previously hidden beneath dirt, moss, algae or other organic growth.
TLC cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing issues including but not limited to:
- Cracked or damaged roof tiles
- Loose ridge tiles
- Existing roof leaks
- Perished pointing or mortar
- Damaged guttering
- Failed seals around windows or conservatories
- Loose render
- Existing driveway movement or damaged paving
- Existing surface deterioration
Where concerns are identified before work begins, we will advise you whenever reasonably possible.
Customers agree to inform us before work commences of any known issues that may affect the safe delivery of our services, including:
- Existing leaks
- Fragile roofs or surfaces
- Electrical hazards
- Restricted access
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Structural concerns
Failure to disclose known issues may affect our ability to complete the work safely and efficiently.
The safety of our staff, customers and members of the public is our priority.
If, at any time, we believe work cannot be completed safely, we reserve the right to postpone, suspend or cancel the service until it is safe to proceed.
Our team may take photographs before, during and after work for legitimate business purposes, including:
- Preparing quotations
- Recording completed work
- Quality assurance
- Staff training
- Resolving customer enquiries or complaints
Marketing photographs will only be used where you have given your consent.
Where reasonably possible, identifiable information such as house numbers, vehicle registration plates or other personal identifiers will be removed or obscured before publication.
You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time by contacting us.
We take pride in delivering a high standard of service.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the work carried out, please contact us within 48 hours of completion where reasonably possible.
We will investigate your concerns promptly and, where appropriate, arrange a return visit to inspect or rectify any issues.
We will carry out our services with reasonable care and skill and will take all reasonable precautions while working at your property.
However, we cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage or delays arising from:
- Pre-existing defects, damage or deterioration
- Existing leaks, failed seals or structural issues
- Cracked roof tiles, loose ridge tiles, damaged guttering or other defects that existed before the work commenced.
- Information provided by you that is inaccurate, incomplete or misleading.
- Delays caused by adverse weather
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including adverse weather conditions.
Nothing within these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to this, our total liability in connection with the services provided shall not exceed the value of the service to which the claim relates.
TLC Domestic Cleaning Ltd maintains Public Liability Insurance appropriate to the services we provide.
Evidence of insurance can be made available upon request.
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
By submitting an enquiry or requesting a quotation, you acknowledge that we will use your information to:
- Prepare and manage quotations
- Deliver our services
- Respond to enquiries
- Manage appointments
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations
If you choose to receive maintenance reminders, seasonal cleaning recommendations or information about relevant services, you may unsubscribe or withdraw your consent at any time.
We may amend these Terms of Business from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on our website and will apply to future quotations and bookings.
These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
